Sambar

ingredients
1. mustard seeds-a pinch
2. fenu greek-a pinch
3. red chilli-2
4. curry leaves-1 stalk
5. lady's finger-50 gm
6. brinjal-3
7. potatoes-2
8. tomatoes-3
9. sambar dhal(tuvara parippu)-200 gm
10. chilli powder-5 gm
11. turmeric powder-5 gm
12. coriander powder-5 gm
13. asafoetida-a pinch
14. tamarind to taste
15. salt to taste
method
Cook sambar dal soft. Cut 5 to 8 ingredients in cubes. Heat oil in a pan. Add ingredients fom 1 to 7. Add ingredients fom 10 to13. Pour water and keep boiling. Add cooked dhal and water to soup consistency. Add salt and tomatoes. Boil for 2-3 minutes. Add juice of tamarind (soaked in water) and choped coriander leaves.
