Kalabham depicts the story of Sivarama Bhagavathar, the temple priest at Narayanapuram temple and his only daughter Sivakami. Directed by Anil, Kalabham belongs to the class of romantic films. The film contains the last five songs scored by the late music director Ravindran. Kalabham was shot in the neighbourhood of Thenkassi.
Thilakan does the role of Sivarama Bhagavathar. Navya Nair plays Sivakami. Tamil actor Bala makes his debut in Malayalam. Manikuttan, Baburaj, Jagathy Sreekumar, Mohan, Anish John, Kalpana, Bhavani and Gayathri are among others on the screen.
Songs are penned by S Ramesan Nair and Vayalar Sarthchandravarma and screenplay is by Biju Vattappara.
