WHAT'S IT
തേപ്പുകാരനായ മുരുകന്റെയും അമ്മയില്ലാത്ത മൂന്നു കുട്ടികളുടെയും കഥ. അന്ധയായ മകള്ക്ക് കാഴ്ച കിട്ടുന്നതാണ് മുരുകന്റെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ സ്വപ്നം. അതിനുള്ള സാധ്യതകള് തെളിയുകയും അണയുകയും വീണ്ടും തെളിയുകയും അണയുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതാണ് പ്രമേയം.
PLUSES
മുരുകനോട് മമ്മൂട്ടി ശരിക്കും നീതി പുലര്ത്തി. ഇടയ്ക്ക് അധികമാകുന്നുണ്ടെങ്കിലും പദ്മപ്രിയയുടെ അഭിനയവും എടുത്തു പറയേണ്ടതാണ്. അന്യനാട്ടില് അഗതികളായി കഴിയേണ്ടി വരുന്ന ഒരു വലിയ ജനതയുടെ ചിത്രം നന്നായി വരച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട് കമല്.
MINUSES
പലപ്പോഴും അനുഭവപ്പെടുന്ന അതിനാടകീയത (ആദ്യപകുതിയില് ഒരു വിനയന് ഗന്ധം!), സിനിമയില് ഉടനീളം ഒഴുകുന്ന കണ്ണുനീര് (ആര്ക്കാണു സാര് തിയറ്ററില് പോയിരുന്ന് നിര്ത്താതെ കരയാന് ഇത്ര കൊതി?), വലിയ വായില് വര്ത്തമാനം പറയുന്ന കുട്ടികള്...
VERDICT
നല്ല സിനിമയുടെ പല ഘടകങ്ങളും ഒത്തിണങ്ങി വന്നിട്ടും നല്ലതാകാതെ പോയ ചിത്രം. കണ്ടില്ലെങ്കിലും ഒരു നഷ്ടവുമില്ല. കാണുന്നതുകൊണ്ട് ദോഷവുമില്ല.

അടിപൊളി റിവ്യൂ. there is nothing in it. padmapriya is just mimicing revathy(remember കാക്കൊത്തിക്കാവിലെ അപ്പുപ്പന്താടി)there is nothing in it. sheer waste. mammotty's makeup is so bad, u see it is more like an ameture stage play.
Very bad review. The reviewer dont know what is real cinema. Mr sanjeev would have given Adoor films a 0/10 marks. His findisngs are very strange there is no drama in this movies even though kids are speaking some what matured. and also it is not tearjerker. There is not much incidents in this film to jerk the tear..It is movie like kazcha and told the people of tamillion people. I doubt that mr Sanjeev did see this film.hhe I think he wrote review by watching trailor..that is why saying it as tearjerker.
It says 100s of social realities more over oru keezhaalante kadhayaanu upper casts iley njarambu rogikalkku istapedulla padam..... I feel pity to tindulekha.com for publishing this review and giving prize.

Karutha Pakshikal IS A VERY GOOD MOVIE only INDHULEKHA show the riview like (sanjeev...), all over the kerala MEDIAS (even NET.. INDIAGLITZ.COM, SIFY.COM , THATS MALAYALAM.COM..Etc..) make a good review of KP. this very bad to allow like thes GAYs to publish this kind of reviews...BCaz he ddnt watch the film... this is the BEST MOVIE from KAMAL and FANTASTIC rool by MAMMOOTTY. finally KARUTHA PAKSHIKAL is a MALAYALM CINEMA.
it's nothing but a drama. kamal, we are expecting more from you.
It is allegedely lifted from Majid Majeedi's "Colours of Paradise" and Marathi film "Swaas". As i havent watched any of these including this Malyalam movie.... I dont know whether its true or not.
