Others in the cast include Jagathi, Nedumudi Venu and Thambi Antony. Santhosh Thundiyil cranks the camera. Songs are penned by Kaithapram and music is by Mohan Sithara.

ഗ്രാമീണകര്ഷകനാണ് മോനിച്ചന്. ഗ്രാമത്തിലെ സ്കൂള് അടച്ചു പൂട്ടാറായപ്പോള് കുട്ടികളെ നഗരത്തിലെ സ്കൂളില് ചേര്ക്കുന്നു. സാഹചര്യങ്ങള് മോനിച്ചനെ കുടുംബസമേതം നഗരത്തിലേക്കു ചേക്കേറാന് പ്രേരിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. പണം പലിശയ്ക്കു കൊടുത്താണ് മോനിച്ചന് നഗരത്തില് വരുമാനം കണ്ടെത്തുന്നത്. ക്രമേണ, ‘ബിസിനസ് ’ കള്ളനോട്ട് ഇടപാടിലേക്കും മറ്റും വളരുന്നു. തിരക്കിനിടയില്, പഴയ പോലെ കുടുംബത്തെ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കാന് മോനിച്ചന് കഴിയുന്നില്ല. ചെറിയ ചെറിയ പ്രശ്നങ്ങള് തല പൊക്കുന്നു. ഒടുവില്, ഒരു അച്ഛനും താങ്ങാനാവാത്ത ഒരു ദുരന്തവും.
PLUSES
മമ്മൂട്ടിയുടെ അഭിനയമികവാണ് ആദ്യം എടുത്തു പറയേണ്ടത്. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ അഭിനയ ജീവിതത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച മുഹൂര്ത്തങ്ങളില് ചിലത് ഈ സിനിമയിലായിരിക്കും. ലക്ഷ്മി ശര്മയും മമ്മൂട്ടിയുടെ ഇളയ മകളായി അഭിനയിച്ച ബേബി നിവേദിതയും മികച്ച പ്രകടനം കാഴ്ച വച്ചു. ജഗതിയെ പുതിയ രൂപത്തില് അവതരിപ്പിച്ചതും ശ്രദ്ധേയമായി. ആരെയും സ്പര്ശിക്കുന്ന ജീവിതഗന്ധമുള്ള ചില മുഹൂര്ത്തങ്ങള് പളുങ്കിലുണ്ട്. റബര് തോട്ടങ്ങള് നിറഞ്ഞ ഗ്രാമം തന്മയത്വത്തോടെ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
MINUSES
ബ്ലെസ്സിയുടെ ഏറ്റവും മോശം സിനിമ. നിഷ്കളങ്കമായ ഗ്രാമത്തെ (ഗ്രാമവാസിയെ) നഗരം ചീത്തയാക്കുന്നു എന്ന സങ്കല്പം അത്ര കേമമൊന്നുമല്ല. ഇന്നത്തെ സമൂഹത്തിന്റെ ഒരു ഹീനതകളിലൊന്നായ ‘ബ്ലേഡ് ’ പലിശയിടപാടിനോട് മൃദുവായ സമീപനമാണ് സിനിമ പുലര്ത്തുന്നത്. സിനിമയുടെ അവസാനം, തന്റെ ദുരന്തജീവിതം മുന്നില് നിര്ത്തി മോനിച്ചന് മഹാത്മജിയെ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യുന്നതു പോലെയുള്ള ക്ലിഷെകള് ഒഴിവാക്കാമായിരുന്നു.
VERDICT
സിനിമ ഹൃദയസംവേദനത്തിനുള്ളതാണെന്നു വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവര്ക്ക് ഈ സിനിമ കാണാവുന്നതാണ്. ജീവിതം പളുങ്കു പോലെ സുന്ദരവും അരക്ഷിതവുമാണെന്ന് ഈ സിനിമ നിങ്ങളെ ഓര്മിപ്പിക്കും.

This film resembles KamalaHassan's MAHANADI. Mammotti alrady proved his acting ability. so be selective . try to act two or three film in a year just like tamil superstar. Give chances to new faces. don't spoil film industry like mohanlal and his cocus.

palunk is santhana bharathi's kamal hassan starrer mahanadi's 'idukki adaptation'. blessy need to do more homework before taking the next movie. however, mammootty is superb.
