Others in the cast include Siddique, Bhavana, Jagathy Sreekumar, Saikumar, Rajan P. Dev, Suraj Venjaramoodu, and Manianpilla Raju. Vayalar Sarathchandra Varama has penned the songs. Camera is weilded by Azhakappan.
WHAT'S IT
കൊച്ചിയില് ‘ഛോട്ടാ മുംബൈ’യിലെ ഛോട്ടാ ക്വട്ടേഷന് സംഘമാണ് വാസ്കോ ഡ ഗാമയും കൂട്ടരും. തല എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്ന വാസ്കോയാണ് ഇവരുടെ നേതാവ്. ഏതു പ്രശ്നവും ഒരു കുപ്പ് കള്ളിന്റെ പുറത്തു സഹിക്കുന്ന, ഒന്നിനെയും ഗൌരവമായി കാണാത്ത ഒരു കൂട്ടര്. ഒരിക്കല്, അവര്ക്ക് നടേശന് എന്ന വന് ഗുണ്ടാനേതാവുമായി ഏറ്റുമുട്ടേണ്ടി വരുന്നു. അത് അവരുടെ ജീവിതത്തെ മാറ്റി മറിക്കുന്നു.
PLUSES
സംഭവബഹുലമാണ് കഥ. കുഞ്ഞുസംഭവങ്ങളെല്ലാം ചെറിയ സസ്പെന്സ് കൊണ്ട് രസകരമാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ബോറടിക്കാന് നേരമില്ലാത്ത വിധം വേഗത്തില് ഓരോ രംഗവും എടുത്തിട്ടുമുണ്ട്. കഥാപാത്രത്തിനിണങ്ങുന്ന വിധത്തില് രസികന് കോസ്റ്റൂമുകളാണ് എല്ലാവര്ക്കും. മോഹന്ലാല് പലപ്പോഴും ഒരു ഫാഷന് ഷോയിലെന്ന വണ്ണം സുന്ദരനായി മാറി. മുഴുസമയ മദ്യപനായ ‘പാമ്പാ’യി രാജന് പി. ദേവ് തകര്ത്തു. ബിജുക്കുട്ടന്, ജഗതി, സിദ്ദിഖ് തുടങ്ങിയവരുടെ ചിരിപ്പടക്കങ്ങളും ചീറ്റിപ്പോയില്ല.
MINUSES
സംഭാഷണവൈദഗ്ദ്ധ്യമില്ലാത്ത ഭാവന ഈ സിനിമയ്ക്ക് വലിയ ബാധ്യതയായെന്നു പറയാതെ വയ്യ. പൊലിസുകാരനെ ഭീഷണിപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന സ്ഥിരം നമ്പര് മാറ്റാമായിരുന്നു. ഒരു കാര്യത്തിലും ഗൌരവബുദ്ധി കാണിക്കാത്ത നായകനെയും കൂട്ടരെയും ചിലര്ക്ക് അംഗീകരിക്കാന് കഴിഞ്ഞെന്നു വരില്ല. കേള്കാന് ഇമ്പമുള്ള ഒരു ഗാനം പോലും സിനിമയിലില്ല.
VERDICT
മാനത്ത് വര്ണശബളിമ വിതറുന്ന ഒരു വെടിക്കെട്ടു പോലെയാണ് ഛോട്ടാ മുംബൈ. (എങ്കിലും, കാര്യമില്ലാതെ പൊട്ടുന്ന ഗുണ്ടുകള് ഇഷ്ടമല്ലാത്തവര് ചെവി പൊത്തുമെന്ന ദോഷമുണ്ട്!)

It is hard to digest Mohanlal (or Mammootty) acting with Bhavana....She looks like his daughter in some scenes.The movie is not bad but why the director has selected Bhavana?Anyone else might be much better...
I felt like watching a Tamil movie...The songs,heriosim,dialogues ...It is a typical Tamil superstar film (which Mallus always blamed..).Our Superstars are talented and they need to select movies according to their age and talent.
ഛോട്ടാ മുംബൈ..?
പലകളറുള്ള മുത്തുകള് കോര്ത്ത സാധാരണ പളുങ്കുമാല. അത്രയേ കാണാനാകൂ. ആവര്ത്തന സീനുകളുടെ ബാഹുല്യത്തില് അവരെയും കൂടെ ഉള്പ്പെടുത്തേണ്ടെ ഏന്നു തോന്നി ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ കഥാപാത്രങ്ങള് ... എന്റെ അഭിപ്രായം അംഗീകരിക്കാത്തവര് ഉണ്ടായേക്കാം.
