Mission 90 Days, based on the assassination of Rajeev Gandhi is Major Ravi's second directorial venture. The first one was the huge hit Kirthichakra, with mohanlal in the lead. Mammootty plays Major Sivaraman, an NSG commando and investigation officer in the film while Sreejith Ravi plays Sivarasan and Radhika is Nalini. Others in the cast include Tulip Joshi, Lalu Alex, Cochin Haneefa, Innocent, Baburaj and Vijayakumar. The film, cinematographed by Thiru and edited by Jayashankar, also has a song by Vayalar Sarathchandra Varma - Jaison J Nair team.

രാജീവ്ഗാന്ധി വധത്തെത്തുടര്ന്ന് കുറ്റവാളികളെ പിടികൂടും വരെ ദൌത്യസംഘം നടത്തുന്ന 90 ദിവസത്തെ ശ്രമമാണ് സിനിമയുടെ ഇതിവൃത്തം. കുറ്റവാളികളെ ജീവനോടെ പിടിക്കാന് നിയോഗിക്കപ്പെട്ട കമാന്ഡോ ഓപ്പറേഷന്റെ ചുമതല മേജര് ശിവറാമിനാണ് . പോര്മുഖത്ത് സഹപ്രവര്ത്തകരെ ഉരുക്കുക്കോട്ട പോലെ സംരക്ഷിക്കുന്ന ശിവറാം സ്തുത്യര്ഹമായ സേവനം കാഴ്ച വയ്ക്കുന്നു. എന്നാല് വിജയത്തിന്റെ പടിവാതില്ക്കല് ബ്യൂറോക്രസിയുടെ കടുംപിടുത്തം ശിവറാമിനു മുന്നില് തടസം നില്ക്കുന്നു. രാജീവ്ഗാന്ധി വധത്തിന്റെ മുഖ്യസൂത്രധാരനെ ജീവനോടെ പിടിക്കാന് കഴിയാതെ വരുന്നു.
PLUSES
ആദ്യം എടുത്തു പറയേണ്ട മേന്മ ഛായാഗ്രഹണത്തിന്റേതാണ്. പ്രമേയത്തിന്റെ ചടുലതയ്ക്ക് ഇണങ്ങുന്ന വിധത്തില് ഷോട്ടുകള് ചിത്രീകരിക്കാന് തിരുവിനായി. രാജീവ്ഗാന്ധിയുടെ വധം മികച്ച രീതിയില് പുനരാവിഷ്കരിക്കാന് കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ട്. തീവ്രവാദിയുടെയും കമാന്ഡോയുടെയുമെല്ലാം ജീവിതത്തിലെ നനുത്ത സന്ദര്ഭങ്ങള് അവതരിപ്പിച്ചത് ഹൃദയസ്പര്ശിയായിരുന്നു. മിക്കവാറും എല്ലാ അഭിനേതാക്കളും മികച്ച പ്രകടനം കാഴ്ച വച്ചു. അവസാനരംഗത്ത് തന്റെ ദൌത്യത്തിന് തടസം നിന്ന മേലുദ്യോഗസ്ഥനെ ശിവറാം ചീത്ത പറയുന്ന രംഗം മമ്മൂട്ടി ഗംഭീരമാക്കി.
MINUSES
തിരക്കഥയുടെ കുഴപ്പം കൊണ്ട് പലയിടത്തും സിനിമ പ്രേക്ഷകരുമായി സംവദിച്ചില്ല (16 വര്ഷം മുമ്പ് നടന്ന സംഭവത്തിന്റെ അനുബന്ധ വിവരങ്ങള് പ്രേക്ഷകര് ഇന്നും ഓര്ത്തിരിക്കുമെന്ന് തിരക്കഥാകാരന് കരുതിപ്പോയെന്ന് തോന്നുന്നു). അന്യഭാഷയിലുള്ള സംഭാഷണങ്ങള്ക്ക് പലയിടത്തും സബ്ടൈറ്റില് കൊടുക്കാതിരുന്നതും വിനയായി. യഥാര്ഥ സംഭവത്തോടു നീതി പുലര്ത്താന് ശ്രമിച്ചതു കൊണ്ടാവാം, ഒരു സിനിമയുടെ ക്ലൈമാക്സില് പ്രേക്ഷകര് പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്ന പിരിമുറുക്കം ഇതിലില്ല. മേജര് ശിവരാമന്റെ ഇന്ട്രഡക്ഷന് സീന് തികച്ചും സാധാരണമട്ടിലായിപ്പോയി. പോലീസുകാരും സി.ബി. ഐക്കാരും തികച്ചും ഉമ്മാക്കികളാണെന്ന മട്ടിലുള്ള ചിത്രീകരണം വേണ്ടായിരുന്നു. രാത്രിയിലുള്ള കമാന്ഡോ ഓപ്പറേഷന് ചിത്രീകരിച്ചത് കണ്ണിനെ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടിക്കുന്ന തരത്തില് ഇരുണ്ടു പോയി.
VERDICT
രാജീവ്ഗാന്ധി വധക്കേസിന്റെ കാലത്തെ പത്രകട്ടിങ്ങുകളില് ചിലതെങ്കിലും വായിച്ചാല് മികച്ച രീതിയില് ആസ്വദിക്കാവുന്ന ഒരു പട്ടാളസിനിമ.

good..but something wrong
It's a boring illogical movie with yet another dissapointing perfomance from Mammooty. Major Ravi had just lost his track compleatly after the huge hit Keerthichakra. In some scenes, Mammooty just imitate Major Mahadevan done by Mohanlal in Keerthichakra. The film is very lagging. Briefly It's a total waste of money.

I would like to know who this anonynous is. Mammootty tried to imitate Mohanlal. Hey man have you really seen this film. It is the best. Better than any movies made on the stoy of Sivarasan and thannu. It is real beacuse it is by the man who was a part of the real story.
Stop this Idiocy and come to facts
I don't think it's gud movie.becoz i saw 'Cyanide" a kannada movie based on same subject.i feel tht is better while compare to Major's filim.
