WHAT'S IT
കഞ്ചാവു വാഹകനായ ജോസ് കൊല്ലപ്പെടുന്നു. ആ കൊലപാതകത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി നേരിട്ട് അന്വേഷണത്തിന് ഉത്തരവിടുന്നു. അസിസ്റ്റന്റ് കമ്മീഷണര് നരേന്ദ്രനാണ് (മമ്മൂട്ടി) അന്വേഷണത്തിന്റെ ചുമതല. നീതിക്കു വേണ്ടി ശബ്ദിക്കുന്ന ആദര്ശധീരനായ നരേന്ദ്രന് സഹപ്രവര്ത്തകര്ക്കിടയില് നരി എന്നാണ് അറിയപ്പെടുന്നത്. പ്രതിരോധങ്ങളെ നാക്കു കൊണ്ടും തോക്കു കൊണ്ടും കീഴടക്കി, നരേന്ദ്രന് അന്വേഷണം പൂര്ത്തിയാക്കുന്നു.
PLUSES
ആരാധകരെ തൃപ്തിപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന പോലീസ് വേഷമാണ് മമ്മൂട്ടിയുടേത്, ഇന്സ്പെക്ടര് ബല്റാമും ഭരത്ചന്ദ്രന് ഐ പി എസും കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്ത്തെടുത്ത പോലുള്ള ഒരു കഥാപാത്രം. ആദ്യപകുതിയില് ഫലിതത്തിന്റെ മേമ്പൊടി ചേര്ത്തുള്ള ഡയലോഗുകളും സന്ദര്ഭങ്ങളും കാണികളെ രസിപ്പിക്കും. എ സി പി നരേന്ദ്രന്റെ കുടുംബജീവിതം നന്നായി അവതരിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. മമ്മൂട്ടിയുടെ ഭാര്യയുടെ റോളില് എത്തിയ മഞ്ജു തരക്കേടില്ലാത്ത അഭിനയം കാഴ്ച വച്ചു. സായ്കുമാറും വിജയരാഘവനും രാജന് പി ദേവും പതിവു പോലെ തിളങ്ങി.
MINUSES
പതിവു രീതിയിലുള്ള പോലീസ് കഥ, പുതുമയില്ലാത്ത ആവിഷ്കരണവും. തേങ്ങയ്ക്കു പുട്ടെന്ന പോലെ ഇംഗ്ളീഷ് കുത്തിത്തിരുകിയപ്പോള് ഡയലോഗുകളുടെ എരിവും പുളിയും തീരെ കുറഞ്ഞു പോയി (മമ്മൂട്ടിയുടെ ഓക്സ്ഫോര്ഡ് ഉച്ചാരണം പ്രശസ്തമാണല്ലോ). രണ്ടാം പകുതി നന്നായി ബോറടിപ്പിക്കും. ക്ലൈമാക്സില് നേര്ക്കു നേര് വെടിയുതിര്ത്തു ശത്രുക്കളെ തുരത്തുന്ന എ സി പി നരേന്ദ്രന്റെ പാടവം രജനികാന്തിനെ പോലും നാണിപ്പിക്കുന്നതാണ്. ഒരു കഞ്ചാവു കാരിയറുടെ മരണം മുഖ്യന് നേരിട്ട് അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നതും മറ്റും എളുപ്പത്തില് ദഹിക്കില്ല. നരേന്ദ്രന്റെ വീട് ആക്രമിക്കുന്നതും മറ്റും പല സിനിമകളിലും കണ്ട രംഗങ്ങളുടെ ആവര്ത്തനമായി. നരേന്ദ്രനേക്കാള് താഴ്ന്ന റാങ്കിലുള്ള ഓഫീസര് ഗുണ്ടകളെ കൂട്ടി ആക്രമിക്കാന് വരുന്നതു പോലുള്ള രംഗങ്ങളും ഒഴിവാക്കാമായിരുന്നു.
VERDICT
കാശു മുതലാകാത്തതിന്റെ 'രൌദ്രം' പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കാന് ചിലര്ക്ക് തോന്നിയേക്കാം.

Oru 6/10 kodukkam....The movie is not as good as the king but definitely watchable.
You can give 5 mark for this movie since we got some super reports of the movie and movie is highly satisfied for those who likes action movies.
Give 4 or 5 marks.This movie is not bad but criticizing the chief minister for everything is not good.
give just 1 mark. and this 1 mark is for mammootty's great appearance. everything else is boring.
May give 5 marks...The movie is watchable due to the great appearance and dialogue delivery from Mammootty. First half was good but climax was lengthy and dragging.

The film is higly entertaining for the audiance of action films and Ranji films .. I saw some discussion over the dialogue presentation , story and one man show . I dont know who they are ..But my opinion to them folks this is not Hariharan's film or Sathyan Anthikkad'd films .. This is Ranji-Mammootty team's police officer .. This is upto our expectations .. Mammootty and Ranji rocks ... Sure block buster .
Critizing Chief minister is absolutely right .Sure Ranji clearly watches Kerala Politics in the right sense .
The movie can be rated out of 6/10. The film director still thinks that asking to mamooty to say words filled with some english words[NOTORIOUS CRIMINAL, FANTASTIC KLOOMATIC STORY ....]., though those words are frequent and known to many common man, gives the film a particular glory. Its time one should tell him boldly looking straight to his eyes to say its not so good a practice to be followed regularly, film after film. Even then the film is viewable.
I will give 1 mark. so boring. not worth watching. Ranji Panikker has to find some new topic. We watched this movie last week in sangeeth theatre in Bangalore. The theatre was almost empty. Some ppl sitting in front of us left within 30 mints. the fighting scenes were reminding Rajanikanth movies. I feel this movie is taken only to humiliate our CM
The movie is good even hough there are no big dialogues like BharathchandranIPS
